I dont know what you guys are talking about. I love the c6. The body stying is awesome. The headlights look very racey... Original Corvettes didnt have hide-away headlights. dont know what you guys are bichin about. If I had the money, Id trade my vette in for a c6 right now! Best looking vette yette.
This jsut isn't sucking up, but having had a C3, it took me while to get used to the C4. I am not a big fan of the back bumper on the C5. I am starting to believe the C4 is the best looking.
C6 is growing on me faster than C5 did. That C6 Z06 might just do it. In this area it seems to be a contest who can get more over sticker price!!! the Chevy dealer for new C6 or Ford dealer for new Mustang GT That takes both off my radar screen till the me first group gets over the initial binge. Ike
i saw the first one around here, (pittsburgh area) last weekend. much nicer in person than in photos. i like them. but then i love every corvette. to me, just like you can't compare great athletes of now to great athletes of the 50's, same with corvettes.... they are have something to offer us and their owners. i love the c6, too bad i can't afford one! but i would still keep the c4.
I thought about selling my LT4 and getting a C5 but I just couldn't pull the trigger. I haven't seen the C6 in person yet but from what I've seen in pics, the front end doesn't do it for me. It just looks grafted on. I have no doubt the car drives and handles better that any previous model, but if I'm not sold on the styling, I won't be forking over cash for one.
Regarding the new 'Stang, I really like the styling and just finished reading Hot Rod magazines road test on it. They're saying that the handling issues with the previous models are history and gave it a big thumbs up.
One of these weekends I'm going to test drive the C6 ( if that's possible ) and the 'Stang just to see how good these cars are.
I remember loving the C6 when I first saw the photos of it and the commercials! I thought it looked fantastic, but when they arrived at the local dealership and I saw one up close, I just wasn't all that impressed. I guess I'm just not as much of a fan as I thought, not that I hate them, they just have not grown on me yet. Love the front end, I'm just not fond of the way it looks from the side. But then, I hated the C5 too when they first hit the streets and they eventually grew on me, but I'll don't think I'll ever own one because of that column lock problem that they are prone to. And don't even bring up the Bypass. Why should I spend extra money to correct a problem that should have been caught by the engineers. I will eventually get a C6 or even a C7, (if they live that long) but I'm dead set on my first Vette being a C4 and I can say that with total conviction.
Last weekend we had the Concours D'Elegance here at Hilton Head. BMW, Rolls and GM all sponsored so got to see some new stuff. They had an Orange and a Yellow C6. Didn't notice it on the Orange but the lights on the Yellow one looked awful with the Yellow color in the interior of the lights. I actually love the new technology but the yellow in there looked awful to me. Hopefully they will offer a brushed metal look as an option. I love the car but the color in the lights just hit me wrong thanks to that Yellow close up.
I like everything about the C6 except the front and the price.
I think the new Mustangs look better in photos than in person. Now that I've seen a few out and about, they look a little less appealing. Still good, but not as I had envisioned.
But then I like the MINI Cooper S, so maybe I'm too in touch with my feminine side?
i like the c6.it looks futuristic as a new model vette should.unlike the mustang that they had to retro to make attractive.
for me if i was buying right now the c5 would be hard to pass up at the discounted pricing.the window sticker on my 92 was 39k.12 yrs later you can buy a brand new c5 for that same price range.not bad.
but if it wasnt for that it would be c6 hands down.
I found myself really liking the C6. Actually the C6 has some retro aspects (as in C3) - namely the crisper lines, and the more angular rear window on the coupe. In person, they're really stunning.
The only series I don't like is the C5. I'll never own one.
I saw my first C6 about 5 hours ago. Nice looking car, I'd take it if I was given one but otherwise I couldn't afford one. The wife wasn't too impressed with it either.
