Last weekend we had the Concours D'Elegance here at Hilton Head. BMW, Rolls and GM all sponsored so got to see some new stuff. They had an Orange and a Yellow C6. Didn't notice it on the Orange but the lights on the Yellow one looked awful with the Yellow color in the interior of the lights. I actually love the new technology but the yellow in there looked awful to me. Hopefully they will offer a brushed metal look as an option. I love the car but the color in the lights just hit me wrong thanks to that Yellow close up.
Corvette Vicki's Ultra-Pink C6, shown at Carlisle, was a silver car to begin with. They left the headlight surround in silver and it looks good, better than body color. That would be a nice option, not the pink, but the silver surround.
A guy in my building bought a red C6- Funny thing is, from the rear it looks a bit too much like my red 89. I would be upset paying that much for something that reminds me of a "dated" vette. I'll take it as flattery. Think they could make those tail lights any bigger? Interior and mechanicals are sweet, I'll give it that!
I really love my C4 but, if someone wanted to trade, I think I would take the C6 in a heartbeat. Now do I think the C6 is worth $35,000 more than my LT4 CE? Absolutely not.

It does nothing for me... I wasn't a big fan of the C5 so the C6 doesn't impress me either...
I have a daily driver so the C4 only pulls weekend/fun duty... If it was my sole transportation I might feel differently... For my, "fun car" though, the C5 and C6 are just too refined for my taste...
My C4 is also paid for, so that makes it all the more appealing as well...
Saw one and the guy actually let me sit in it and fire it up! it was red with red guts- had the Z51 package with the drilled rotors. All I can say is AWESOME! The guy took museum delivery and drove it home back here to Florida...he said he took it easy for a few hundred miles...but found himself doing 140 and not realizing it! D'oh!
The style, form and feel of sitting in the seat says ALL CORVETTE! I thought at first (in pictures) that the exposed headlights minght not be appealing- but in person...they look great! almost Italian sports car looking...
the remote key FOB and keyless ignition are neat touches..the interior was very roomy and the gauges were very attractive looking...
all in all- if I could afford one, you bet I would buy one...400HP I mean that is freaking crazy! but I would keep my C4 vert, I mean that is a beautiful body style!
I love the way they look. In fact, I think Chevy finally may have got it right. The power, looks, drivability, etc. In fact, although I plan on keeping my 86 vette forever, I have been considering selling my Cali-Concepts 2003 Mustang & getting a new vette.
PS- Don't blame me for the Mustang. Got a great deal & I am sure I can sell it for a great price to some young guy in the Air Force. Those young guys still love the Mustangs.

I haven't seen a C6 in the flesh yet but I don't mind it based on the pics I have seen. Between the looks and the performance that you get straight out of the box I think it is a really good package. I am keen to see how fast a well modded C6 will go when the modded versions start hitting the streets...
I will never sell my C4, but if someday I have the means to park a C6 next to it I would.
sorry to say bro- that C6 looks WAY better then that C5! and I like C5's! Look how the rear goes up around the back fenders....that makes the whole car look like it wants to jump off the ground!
It is also shorter and they did away with the "Big Butt" look of the C5...

The more I see them, the more I like them! IMO
Just waiting for GM to shake the bugs out. Looks much better than the C5!
I guess I'm just a die hard vette fan. I would be just as pleased to be driving a C6 as I am my C4. Sitting behind the wheel I wouldn't be forced to look at those silly headlights, and all anyone else would see is taillights. Yea, I could make it work for me....
Think I'll keep my c4. If I do change, it will be to a c2, not a c6.
After the intro of the C6, I was quite disappointed in its "warmed over C5" appearance; I've never been a fan of the C5's design but now it's looking better! In any case, if I were to ever part with my C4 for something else it would likely be a C2 roadster with one of the 327's. To me those are still the most desirable Corvette's of all time.
I like them but with me its weird i never really cared for the c4 but when the c5 came out, i liked the c4 and not the c5, and now that the c6 is i started liking the c5, but i like the c6 too, just not as much. I would have to say the c4 is my favorite gen behind the c2.
