Search for my questions and you will find all you need to do it. If you dont have a Factory service manual get one from eBay or helms they are a big help. Yeah she will be down for a few days if you send them to be cleaned at Cruzin but from what I have read no one has been dissapointed.

Your problem may not be the injectors anyway it might be the Idle Air Control you need to get a fuel pressure gauge that hooks up to the fuel rail and check for pressure once again search the forums. It could also be the fuel line check valve. After you have the gauge on turn on your key is should jump up and then turn it off if the check valve is bad it will got down pretty fast if it is a injector not so fast should hold pressure for a little while. I am new to 'Vettes myself and have learned a lot here the guys are really good.
Okay! I just did ALOT of reading in my Chiltons manual (in lieu of the service manual that i havent gotten around to getting just yet) The fuel line check valve was my first guess, I talked to a repair shop about it, they told me it was connected to my fuel pump anyways, so i just had the fuel pump replaced. ( i mention this on the chance that the shop was wrong about the check valve location) still no dice. idle air control.... i will research.

as for the fuel injectors, i dont feel QUITE as overwhelmed,
relieve fuel system pressure,
remove intake plenum and runners,
remove fuel rail assembly,
rotate injector retaining clip,
remove injector by pulling,
remove and discard retaining clip and o ring seals....

i still havent found the "relieve fuel system pressure" section of the book , not sure what intake plenum is exactly, and have no idea of what runners are, have a picture of the fuel rail, so i think i can locate that.
I assume you need to get new retaining clips and o ring seals from somewhere?

thats about the level of understanding im at so far.

Most gauges have a button on the side of them that will relieve pressure to a hose on the side put it to a can and remove gas cap as pressure builds up in the tank. I got mine at Advance for around $35.

Runners=rails plenum=intake

It'd be better to have the stockers cleaned, or replace all 8 with new injectors.
I totaly disagree I have cleaned fuel systems for about 10 years with very positive results. The key is the right equipment and chemical cleaner. Proper cleaners will not damage ANY injectors despite the misinformation that floats around. I suggest anyone thinking of this service visit www.motorvac.com and educate yourself. This equipment Will clean injectors, and anywhere fuel flows through the engine including plenum, valves, pisons, and oxygen sensors. The eqipment cucles cleaning solution through the fuel rain and injectors in a pulsing action creating an agitation that breaks loose and removes deposits on the injector screens, then the vehiocle is actually run on the equipment for about an hour. I will give anybody thier money back in my shop if the exhaust hydrocarbons dont decrease and the idle smooth out when I am done.
