Default New best last night..

11.74 hot lapping it.. coolant temp at the light 195. The weather was 72 deg. I would imagin if I would have let here cool down to 120 she would run a 11.5? The car always makes a ton of power when she is cooled down. The new Viagianty convertor worked flawless. 1.601 short with some slight wheel spin.

Rich lets put a bigger cam in the car, that will get you 11.5s without cooling it off

11.82.. That was before I spent 3k on heads and $400 on porting the intake. Money well spent.

Awesome times....

You running slicks or what on that car? With the ETs, I would think you have a bunch more in the 60' ft.

Let me know and I will have you check some things on the suspension and you will get even better 60s.

What stall and what gears in your combo?

Bigger isn't always better my friend. That 219 is proven. Tried and true!

Rich, congrats on the new best. There is a lot left in there. LET IT COOL, SHIFT IT AT 6(1-2 2-3) and LET IT RIP next time!! Damn good short time also! glad you like that convertor.

Rich

After the Audi is gone, I'll be on full alert for a C5. It'll head to LPE for a little bit of massaging by way of a magnacharger.

I like the sound of 500(crank) emissions legal hp!

Must be nice. I'd love a 1.6 60' time just once. The problem is I don't want to give up my 6-spd to do it. Guess it's just not gonna happen. Some day I'll build me a strictly drag strip car with an auto.

There is a video of one on LPE video section.. They had to watch the sound level just from the Supercharger

I think Dennis Bowtie8 is doing a 1.5 60" with a 4+3

I am almost where your 350 was. Yah things are coming together. Ralph your best time on a cool motor? I have seen my times drop when the intake has been cold to the touch.

I'm beating a dead horse here...but you'll see super results when the engine is cool, and air temp/DA are on your side.

I may have only made a few passes a year...but man was the reward sweet when I screamed across the finish line and received a MORE than satisfactory slip. You'll get it my friend.....

Last year the car would pick up 3 tenths by icing the intake down. A trick a stock eliminator buddy showed me. Then he was trying to get me to take out a quart of oil. Less windage on the crank.
