No cam swap? No LT headers? I'm guessing a gain of about 20-30 HP, but someone with more experience will chime in and correct me.

john, looks like a great list, but while that intake is off i strongly urge you to upgrade your cam......one of the very popular ones with the LT1 folks is the GM H.O.T. cam, 218/228 duration with .525/.525 lift (w/1.6 rr's). there are other alternatives of course, but this was specifically developed for the LT1 engine/intake.

i'm not entirely sure how much more chp can be had with the whole shibang, i believe about 80 more stampeding horses on top of your 300 should be close to correct with cam & heads, and the other bells and whistles, with chip properly tuned. this alos assumes LT headers.

the LT1 guys will undoubtedly step and give alot of great advice

that thing needs a bump stick to take advantage of the newfound airflow...likewise with the exhaust...score a set of long tubes and a hotcam at a minimum...

Dump the HYperCrap programmer, and get a real custom tune. Also you need a cam to take advantage of the ported heads. Then you will need a decent exhaust system as well. Done right its probably worth in the neighborhood of 425hp at the wheels

I am worried about passing inspection... Last I heard is as soon as you change the cam, you're asking for problems. Has anyone else in Mass been successful with running a cam and passing emissions???

I think he means 425chp. To get 425rwhp he will needs a 383ci stroker and a good size cam.

I have a really nice Comp Cams custom grind camshaft that I just pulled out of my car. With ported heads and a few bolt-ons it made close to 360 rwhp, and passed emissions testing. With very little or no tuning this camshaft will pass.

I would be willing to sell this camshaft complete with springs/cups/lightweight steel retainers/locks, if you are interested.

Specs:
Duration 212/224
Lift 487/502 1.5 rockers 520/536 1.6 rockers
LSA 112

It's all in the tune. And being in Mass you have access to a VERY good tuner who alos happens to be a member here, search for SloRVette, I see him posting in the FI/Nitrous section a lot. Ask him what he thinks he could get by emissions with, but you should have NO issues with the HotCam, and you may be able to go a little bigger.
