Do you have any mods on your vehicles ? I am going to have get mine smogged soon (95 LT1, 6 speed - with 35K on it)
Do either of you have shortie headers, ported MAF ends, MSD ignition, 52mm TB, computer chip...........mine is also a 49 state car (sold originally in NY) so it must meet Fed standard not CA - is that correct ?
My 86 is completley stock, and I just scraped through on the NO by 1 point!

Not sure what's going wrong there, could the O2 sensors be malfunctioning and causing the mixture to be too lean?
