A couple of the above posts mention changing the oil and filter. How does changing the oil and filter impact emission testing?

San Fernando and Simi guys

Do you have any mods on your vehicles ? I am going to have get mine smogged soon (95 LT1, 6 speed - with 35K on it)

Do either of you have shortie headers, ported MAF ends, MSD ignition, 52mm TB, computer chip...........mine is also a 49 state car (sold originally in NY) so it must meet Fed standard not CA - is that correct ?

My 86 is completley stock, and I just scraped through on the NO by 1 point!

Not sure what's going wrong there, could the O2 sensors be malfunctioning and causing the mixture to be too lean?

Heck that's not close. I had a car pass by 1 ppm once in CA.

Tuneup is the place to start unless it's had one recently.
