You don't even know what I'm talking about. On the other side, you just use a platic cover to house the jump start junction block connectors from water. There are many gaps down below where the water just drains into the pavement below the car, like the one between the car and the side vent cover.
See pics, I'm not talking about the hatch draining. I'm talking about the hood release area. Another area of the C4 that needs drainage. But that's not what you guys are talking about so I guess it's irrelevant.
I don't know how we got from hatch drains to latch drains, but the thread diverged for whatever reason. Although both topics are areas of standing water that need to be addressed.
Anyway - as promised, although a day late, here is a photo of the hatch drain installed on my coupe. Of course this is a horribly dirty area today because I haven't cleaned or lifted the weatherstrip in ages, but you'll get the idea. You can see the brass grommet and the junk around the grommet is the sealant that comes with the drain kit. It is sort of like a silly putty material that beds the grommet into the drilled hole and prevents water from seeping into the inner well are of the double walled glass. You can paint the grommet and the sealant body color and it won't hardly show at all. I had mine painted white when I installed it, but over the years it has worn away. I need to clean it up and repaint that area. The drilled hole is about and 1/8 to a 1/4 from the corner of the pocket. Hope this helps - good luck
Just do it.

Did mine similar to biggrizzly. Mine is just about 1/2" over to the left right in the lowest point of the crevace. I painted tips white to match the car.
