I hope you didn't replace the tranny because of this problem when it was the brake pedal all the time.
I have similar symptoms and hope the pedal does the trick. Won't know until spring though.

No, the tranny was shot. Slipping, stinking, fluid turning brown by 1000 miles.

I want to say 'Thats good" but there isn't much good about it other than everything is working now.

I wanted to update everyone on this issue because you were all so helpful. The problem went away for a while but returned as of a few weeks ago. I sort of just dealt with it but it really started to get pretty bad and I was worried about how long the converter would last. I decided to actually use my Datamaster program that I bought back in February for the first time and found some interesting info. Everytime the torque converter would disengage on the freeway my car threw out a flag called "Neg TPS". Obvisouly a negative TPS sensor value is not a good thing so I replaced the TPS and the car is running great now. I'm really surprised the tranny shop did not do something as simple as data logger but I guess it's in their best interest to sell me a tranny, not fix the actual issue. My Corvette has taught me to not trust anyone to work on my car except for a select few and to always do the work myself if possible.

The tps is often a source of trouble on the 4l60e transmissions. Glad to see it is fixed.
