The glycol keeps corrosion from happening too, so don't cut down on it too much. There's water wetter stuff that is used in small ratios, I'm guessing it just changes the pH and gives you better cooling by there being less of it.

I was going to say, 109-130*F seems a little chilly, and as Bogus has said up there earlier, these temps (200-230*F ofcourse) are quite normal. I just replaced the water pump on my 94 last week and it now sits at a steady 88-90*C which is about 190-195*F, before pump replacement, it was about 200-205*F.
One on the top of the termostat housing, and one on the throttle body base.
