Default Scan codes

Question here. May have been covered before, but need fairly quick answer. The 1996's have OBDII right? If so (and I think this is right), which pins do you jump to read the codes for SES light?

All OBDII should be the same? Thanks.

OK, after running a search I found a thread in which Bogus answered the question. It can be done, but too difficult to decipher the code. Thanks anyway.

Thought you needed a scan tool for the OBD-II systems, it's much more complex than the OBD-I. Could be wrong.

Yea, Rick you are right, it's too complex.

1995 was the last year you could jump pins 4 & 12. Up until that point (1994 - 1995) it was OBD I, in a 16 pin shell. You got to have the OBD II scanner....no doubt about it.
