Default Pre-95 Optispark GM Conversion Kit

Would someone please list the part number and price for the pre-95 optispark conversion kit sold by GM. I just bought a 94 optispark and would like to apply the fix before installing it on the car.

I am not interested in the CF conversion procedure or the Mid America solution.

Thanks!

I would like to know more about this also, as when the engine is rebuilt I'd like to put any possible opti-crap problems to rest.

Martin,

I'm not aware of a "GM" kit. The only other way to convert one besides the CF or MA procedure is to buy all the parts necessary to install a '95-'96 opti. This would include the front cover, camshaft, and timing components from a '95-'96 and obviously a lot more work. The CF procedure seems to be fairly easy and inexpensive. The GM vacuum harness they use (12558921 - which is the new P/N) is only $8.47. Unless there's something out there I haven't seen yet, that's the only options I'm aware of. -Jeff

Since you have a 94, are you talking about the moisture eliminator kit for opti's made before 95?

Hey Brian... Yes, that's what I was referring to, but according to Jeff, GM doesn't make such a conversion for a 94 OptiSpark.
