Well I ended up in the bar again without the car--it runs just as bad as it did. it is ok when cold then it starts to skip worse when hot. I pulled the injector wires off one at a time and only two cyl. where very noticable the rest where hardly noticable at all and #2 didnt seem to make any difference. I have a new-gas filter at home so I guess it wont hurt(well it might hurt lol) to put it on. With my conv. I have to take the crossmember off just to get to it--allways something. Is there any tricks to stop all the gas from pouring on me when I take the filter off? Thanks guys

Loosen the gas cap.Have you ohmed your injectors and checked them with a noid light? I know my injectors all ohmed good, but when I put the noid light on that is when I found a bad pigtail to the injector.

Yes, take out the fuel pump fuse. Crank the car until it dies, this should have extracted most all the fuel in the line. I make sure to disconnect my negative battery cable, no telling what you wil hit with wrench, especially the starter. You will probably have to take the x-member off and you should be able to figure it our from there. You will get a little gas when filter has become loose.

Here we go again , it still skips and dosnt idle well runs good when on the gas. I did the fuel filter and as long as I was under there I did the 02 sensor. I got a pressure test gauge and before the filter change I had 40lbs at idle --after the change 38lbs at idle, it goes up to forty when I raise the rpms. Still cant figure that one out. Anyway I will go to the FSM and learn about ohming the injectors. Hey rick you said something about a noid light, can you buy them at a place like autozone? or is it a gm thing. Thanks guys

Autozone didn't have one, niether did NAPPA, might have been just the two stores I deal with.Got mine a ASTRO PNEUMATIC TOOL COMPANY 7898 from a little speed shop, cheap and it also has 6 noid lights(3 GMs, Ford, GEO, and Bosch} and 2 IAC signal testers, think it was about $20. for the nearest distributor you can call 1-800 221-9705. That said, I think any 12V test light with 2 probes would work, my set is just really convenient. Hey, when you ohm your injectors do it hot and cold..belive they should ohm around 14, and they all should be within .5 ohms,if memory serves, just check to make sure.

After reading your post again I see you ohm injectors hot and cold--didnt see the hot part yesterday but I ohmed them cold and they look screwed up to me, but why does the car run so good under full power. Here they are.

those #s look crappy!!! can't answer your question about why? but mine ideled good, was very responsive but had an obvious miss in the 1800 RPM range-I checked everything..when I used the noid light I found a bad pigtail to 1 injector-not firing, go figure. # 1,3,4 look good, but I was told if I found 1 bad one to replace them all, cause the others would follow shortly.

Yea rick they are wierd, but what I cant understand is why with those #s why it runs so good when im on the gas. Sunday after a few at the joint I cooked my($1100) tires(what an ******* I am) wound out the engine in three gears with out missing a beat, ran it fast in all gears going home and it was perfect--pull it in the garage and it is shaking like crazy. I cant figure it out, this car is driving me nuts---why did I sell my 1969 SS camaro for this car is a mystery to me. THanks for all the replys guys, I wont stop on this thing now--Ill fix it or blow it up
