Those suckers look like they just came outa the box! I tried magnifying to get a closer look, but they almost look normal to me! in a lean condition the side electrode (the bent portion) is usually kinda white looking too-I, at least don't see that on yours, another lean condition
could show a melted center electrode-don't see that either. I'm not sure you have a lean condition.

I tried to magnify the image too. It just got fuzzy. I thought I saw some white dust on the electrode but it was just too hard to tell in the picture.
Other than the dirty finger prints all over them they do look new.

If you click on the small pic of plug, it will go full size to get a better look.

They do look a little lean but it's hard to say how lean.
Maybe you have fixed that problem by repairing the distributor.

Are you able to scan your car while you drive it with a labtop and software like datamaster?
This may help see what the computer sees.
No I dont have any kind of scanners ---My scanning ability is limited to a paper clip hooked to a and b , all I get are 12's which is good but dosent help with the skipping. Last nite I ordered the wires and did a comp. test that was ok. Ill put the wires on tonite and the same plugs, as they dont look to be the problem. Ill let you guys know what happens --Thanks for all the feed back it really helps --nice link agent 86

From what you posted-the plug wire reading in ohms and the one wire was definetly bad-my money says the new plug wires cure your problem.

I hope your right. I just went home for lunch and in one hour I finally got one wire off. GM must have put the wires and 75 clips on the motor before they put it in, there is no way anyone could possably get behind the motor to install the clips and wires without stripping everything off the firewall and back of motor. The more I work on this car the more sorry I feel for corvette mechanics

That's insane. My wires come off easily.
I think your wiring is the work of someone with way to much time on their hands. Not anyone from GM.

It sounds like this will fix your problem. Assuming you only have one problem.

Dont know 87 rag but the wires are OE and evry clip crumbled to dust--Ill sweep them up later. I think I will buy some new clips and just neatly run the wires up where I can get to them--there deffinitly not going back behind the dist. where they were

Sounds like they were due to be changed.
I may have missed it, how many miles on your car?

I bought clips at NAPPA, by the way, I always pull the distributor cap to replace wires-seems easier-at least to me.

Sounds like they greet you by name when you walk into your local Napa.
I've never pulled the dist cap to run wires. Maybe I'll try it next time.

They don't greet me by name-but they always smile-you should see what kinda greeting I get when I go into a marine store, and some of them say-hi Rick, with a big smile while opening their cash register. You think vette parts are expensive-I hate marinas, and when I put 200 gallons in my boat-I still have to pay highway taxes, and gas on the water is about 50 cents a gallon more

I got out of boating when I got into vetting. We all laugh about how much we spend to keep our cars running the way we like them. My vette is practically free compared to the boats I have had.
Can you say $1500 for a starter because they had to lift the motor out to get to it.

I shouldn't say I got out of boating. I just got out of boating with my own boat.

Those likely were all original parts.

But I want to know what Rick asked.
