The reality is that you paid serious money for a product that wasn't what was promised. You then had to spend more money to R&D that product all the while the vendor makes no real effort to be involved. The moral of the stoyr is the vendor get his profit, the manufacturer get his profit and you pay twice to make the parts do what they were suppose to do. You have to think of how you would treat your customers if you put them in the same situation. You should never worry about the vendor or their employees feelings. These parts are not cheap and you have a right to expect them to fit perfectly.

From what I was told, EM is making concessions to try and make things right, I'm not at liberty to say exactly what those are here because it has not been worked out between Gene and EM at this point so I don't want to make a bigger mess than what has already been created. I will agree that EM has dropped the ball BIG TIME on this one, but I also know that it doesn't happen often.

Alright, I'm going to let this one go because you obviously have no clue what you're talking about and just like to stir up crap for the sake of it. So you enjoy yourself, and when everything gets resolved you can move on and make an *** of yourself over another topic.

I know, and it might sound odd but I'm on your side on this. Like I said EM dropped the ball, no question. I've been back and forth with them on the phone doing my best to get their collective asses in gear because I know they are a good shop but they need to step up and finish this to your satisfaction.

But I don't like seeing uninformed people just jumping on the bandwagon either...that's just a waste of everyones time and does nothing to solve the problem.

Tell you what, if you'd like, shoot me an e-mail stating exactly what you'd like to see to make this whole situation right in your eyes. I'll take it down to them personally this week so there are no doubts that they know what you want. It's up to you, but I'd be happy to do it because I'd like to see this mess cleaned up almost as much as you!

Honestly, you've handled this a lot better than most would have from what I've seen and heard on and off this forum. So if there's anything I can do to expedite this just let me know.

EDIT: by the way, you can use my profile to send the e-mail, or jsut send it directly to jay@cline.net

Do you work for EM? If you do then that's great and it's great you are making a statement. If you don't work for EM then you should let them speak for themselves. No flame here. I'm not flaming you. I would rather see a vendor speak for themslves in situations like this.

I consider myself a contractor down there. But also, they really don't monitor this forum much at all, and they are not very computer literate in the least bit. Trust me, I've tried to get them more involved through the computer but it's not easy and I'm busy with a lot of my own projects.

Assuming everything bacardi says is accurate, EM is off my list.

I'm guessing EM doesn't care, but that's their problem, not mine.

It would definitely be nice to see EM “step up to the plate” and make right with both bacardioil & d48mclain. They both spent a lot of money and time for a product that wasn’t delivered as advertised. I think a little better R&D, QA, and communication from EM would have produced an awesome header. Sad, but it happens all too often in auto aftermarket.

i think the forum admin. has been letting this thread work its own way out between all parties. as you can see it has not gotten out of hand. i think a lot of good talk has come from this thread. hopefully this thread will be coming to an end soon. i myself have really seen all the communities coming togather with this, which i think is a good thing, all for a comon interest the vette. as far as mr mojo, sometimes i dont know, how he handles all that go on here. i wouldnt want that job frank has for anything. ha frank do you try to have a life.
guys from all the communities, i thank you for your e-mails and support on this forum and thread. i will stay with it now to the end. hopefully some good will come from this and all involved have learned something from this thread.
again thanks all
gene

Franks job is to help keep the forum in a well mannered order and I know you didnt want this to get out of control and you have the right to speak your mind in the way you did. He is incessiantly too busy with his own life to mess with our problems I think its time for a new moderator to get involved and as for the administration they are worthless too. And if they have a problem with what im saying id be happy to keep it public and not in any pms as it has happened in the past. . Now as for stirring anything up im not I have nothing against em, mojo or the administration I just wanted to help out a fellow enthusiast and I believe that we have all become a little closer and with all the post ive seen on how the C5 and C6 dont wave and are snobs is bull**** also. We all know that were like one big family and we watch out for each other when it comes down to it . Im sorry for any opinions I may have violated but this is how I feel about the matter.
