I think we as corvette enthusiast and formum members need to take this into our own hands and help this guy out. Its not fair to him or any of us because we work hard for our money and then give it to some ******* like that vendor and be screwed out. This guy has alot of self control for being as patient as he is and I fully understand his point. Now the moderators need to do there part and get in touch with this vendor and set things straight because if it was me I wouldve done alot more by now and I know together we can get this resovlved peacefully, effieciently and make this CF member happy with his purchase and have his vette running and be able to wave to all the vettes his missed due to this status

So where are we at on this 80 post long thread??

Is EM stepping up to the plate? Have you settled anything yet?

Schedule a conference call with you, EM and your assembler?

Is EM aware of this thread?

Has EM even responded to this thread?
I was considering headers from them, but poor customer service will change my mind no matter how good a manufacturer's product. Especially with parts such as these, that I may need assistance on.
I am in sales of industrial electronics, and try not to deal with the manufacturer's that do not have good customer service for me or my customers, which means less of their product is sold, and it doesn't do much for their reputation either.

trevor is the head mechanic for em seem like a nice guy. call me last thursday about 2 my time when he heard about this thread. hes only a employee for merle, trevor has no say in this matter maybe input.
i dont really care about the money i spent at this point anymore. it the disrespect from a vender of this forum to a member of the forum. at this point it would mean to me, merle may needs the money more then i do and i say this with no disrespect to him. ha many of the forum members here have had very good dealing with EM, but mine has been something i dont want go through again. since i became a member of this forum i have met some great guys and venders. one to mine greg from blower works. what greg has done for me in his time and help i could never pay him. thats a man you can respect and that he has from me. AND WITH THAT GUYS IAM ENDING THIS THREAD, BUT I HOPE YOU ALL REMEMBER IT BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU.
YOU GUYS ARE GREAT, ALL OF YOU AND THE VENDERS WHO HELP US.
THE END

THIS is a no brainer. Dock is right!!

And it's a no brainer: For an owner of Exotic Muscle. Or for any forum vendor with a problem.

And I have to agree with C4: if it's a vendor issue, maybe CF itself could step in and give a hand. I mean, I know it's money to CF, and time and effort, but I'm sure this doesn't happen every day.

There is a very small list of "vendors" that I wouldn't want to deal with. People like bacardioil have done a service to all of us who have read this thread. Unless he's wrong.

And so far, I see no one saying he's wrong. Not his installer, not Exotic Muscle. Not any other member. And not CF.

Therefore, until proven otherwise, bacardi's posts stand as stated: there is a problem with Exotic Muscle, service and parts.

If I'm wrong, please point it out to me.

No one is suggesting that you to end this thread!

Its just that, as nice of people as EM may be, they have got to respond to you for their own sake vis a vis this forum. If Trevor knows, then one can assume Merle does.

hell, id be on the phone 24/7 til i got a hold of Merle, if that is what it takes. -or- print out this thread and mail it to him registered mail. -or-file a small claims suit.

You were relying upon their expertise to provide you a set of headers that met your needs. They seem to have (reasonably) failed to do so. You spent a ton of money to get them to work. After all this time and lack of contact, you got to stop thinking they are reasonable people and stop thinking that being nice or reasonable is gonna work.

and please let us know what the final result is. OK?

Exotic muscle needs to step up to the plate and take it. Im sure gene is willing to work it out with them if they have messed up that bad and I mean no disrespect to gene or em. Gene is still waiting and like said no ones said barcadis wrong and if he is em needs to say so and end it. I am not trying to take sides but from the facts I see em messed up, as a vendor fix it and move on. Its not that big of a deal. They are killing there business and im sure gene never meant for it to go this far or any other way and I wish CF would GET OFF THERE LAZY A$$ES AND DO SOMETHING but again its not my concern. I mean no disrespect from this or any other post but gene has a fought a long battle here and its time to put close to it

I'm kind of a troll on this thread since I own a C5. The truth is though that this thread pertains to all Vette owners on all levels. When a vendor takes advantage of a customer and does not even make any kind of comment it indicates that the vendor really isn't interested in good customer service. I have seen one particular vendor go out of business as a result of this forum. The vendor in question on this thread should not have even allowed the customer to modify those headers. They should have back burnered another customer in favor of getting this particular situation taken care of right away. The fact that a supporting vendor is not responding to this thread, or at least calling the customer back immediately, tells volumes. At this point, if I was a potential customer, I would not be now. As far as I am concerned I would consider the damage done. If I was the car owner I would never have let the installer install those headers. He bought a brand new set of headers and had to have them cobbled up to get them to work.

I dont believe in trolls but I do believe your taking the wrong way to this thread. Barcoldi was only trying to save the vendor money when the vendor ****ed up.

I understood perfectly. The Vendor should have insisted on not saving the money but rather taking care of the customer. If you were a vendor would you want your productuct on a car after it had been welded and modified? Would you want a customer telling everyone how you had to modify their product to make it work right? It was not right and they should have stepped up. It sounds like the vendor calls back at their convenience. I believe the customer wanted the parts on the car so bad that he was willing to accept modifying parts to git ur done. At the very least the vendor should have offered to take care of the modifications or give some of the money back. Listen, there's is a very well know vendor that use to have a good reputation and once other customers started talking to each other they all found out they had the same problems. I'm very picky about these expensive parts and they would not have been installed on my car unless they were correct. I'm sure you are the same.

No disrespect to you but to give my honest opinion i would take it back and fix it because i knew i had screwed up first and EVEN THOUGH IT WAS WRONG OF HIM TO MESS WITH IT*** ill step up and take it like a man. Id want to fix this and keep my business going and my most important thing CUSTOMERS HAPPY! I fully understand your point and I see your reasoining but I am just the kind of guy who tries to get things resolved with no hard feelings but this is not going that way and I know barcoldi needs some reassurance from the rest of us to show em that no ones going to put up with there **** and to stand behind there work.

EM is out here in AZ where I live. I get most of my work done at Xtreme Motorsports. I emailed EM with your concerns and a copy of the original thread. I wasn't trying to give you a hard time or anything. Hope you didn't take it that way. I just get really pissed when a vendor blows off a customer and allows them to fix something that they screwed up. A good vendor steps up and takes care of a problem even if they lose money on the deal. It's the cost of doing business. No customer should feel like they need to help save the vendor money on a screw up. I have a great story I can tell about a vendor that stepped up and offered to do something that nobody would believe.

I think jak and barcoildil both deserve a for trying to resolve this peacefully. Jak is living proof that its the car that brings us together not the year or the money to all vette owners. I think barcoildil is doing a great thing for all of us keeping this going and if mojo dont like it we can keep starting more threads until this is resolved. I think this is the only way to get the point across

You guys have no idea the power that this website has. I had a vendor actually tell me that he was in fear for his business when he had a problem with a customer. It is very important for the vendor to step up and explain their side or get the customer taken care of. Complaining here about a problem with a vendor should be the last resort.
