4 + 3 Problems
I am a little new to 4+3 transmissions and could use some help. On the drivers side of the overdrive unit there is a electrical sending unit. Mine seems to be loose. I am guessing that there is a clip or bracket that is supposed to hold it in place, but it seems to be missing. I can't find a listing in the GM parts list for the retainer either. I was hoping someone might be able to send me a picture of this sending unit along with whatever is supposed to hold it in place. A source for this part would also be helpful.

This part just clips into the overdrive housing. It's just a spade terminal where the 12V signal goes to the solenoid inside, and has an oring.
Mine was leaking, so I cleaned it well and used "The Right Stuff" to seal it to the case.
Ac Delco p/n 24205373 and p/n 10054241. It's a pretty common connector used on the automatic transmissions too.

So its just held in by the pressure of the o-ring then? Interesting. Thank you for putting an end to this mystery! 
While I am on the subject tho... Where would you recommend to get a rebuild kit from if it is needed?
