Hello all! I've got a 1992 LT1 with the auto. climate control and regardless of what I do, my ac compressor continues to run. Has anyone seen this before and what would the cure be. I'm not to keen on putting an inline switch to cut power to the compressor. Thanks!!!!
Paul
Compressor is powered up by a relay which is driven (grounded) by the PCM. I'd find the relay and replace it. Otherwise, you need to trouble shoot it's wiring - short to ground on the PCM side.

Drug Delivery - think you have a different problem. System delivers air to a/c vents or floor depending on temp selected and signals from two thermistors - inside temp or sun load and the outside temp sensors. If its particularly hot inside the car, you may only get a/c until 90. 90 and 60 overrides the sensor signals and will always push air through the a/c vents (60) or heater (90). A real crap shoot to troubleshoot anything in between as there are no published parameters for where the vents should be based on the sensor signals. Most just try new sensors to see what happens. Otherwise, the Processor for all of this is the Programmer. Whatever you select at the Dash is sent over a serial data line and the Programmer does it's thing based on that selection and the sensor(s) input. You can only troubleshoot the data line with a scanner - voltages are meaningless. A lot of problems do end up being the Programmer, but it depends on specific symptoms.
