Just got a '91 that has had some engine mods. I'm told that a few sensors were removed and that's what's causing the "Service Engine Soon" light to come on after the car warms up.
I haven't run the trouble codes yet but is it possible to put resistors or something at the connectors of the missing sensors to squelch the SES light?

You can do that with the coolant temp and the intake air temp sensors. However the TPS and the MAP sensors can't be substituted with resistors.
That's right, I'm sure some of the sensors are very dynamic and the ECM expects their outputs to change non-linearly over time. I was just thinking I could substitute something that might be close enough to prevent codes from being thrown.
Need to run the codes first to see what it thinks is wrong.
