Default Stumbling at the starting light !!!

I went to the track today. My first trial run was a good run .31 reaction time 60' ... 1.76 and 1/8mile 8.22@ 84mph. Everything seems to be fine. On my second pass, the car stumbled when I launched from the starting light and it continue to do this for the next 3 passes. I was able to let the car engine cool down to 160-170 degrees before making each run. I drove to the track 30 miles and back home 30 mile with no problem. Has anyone had this problem? What should I be looking for to fix the problem. I've already looked at the vacum lines, and adjusted the fuel regulator from 43 to 36psi. I lost on this one

Strap a fuel gauge to the windshield and monitor it while you go for some WOT blasts. Maybe your pressure is dropping while in WOT.

How full was your fuel tank? If it was less then 3/8 tank the fuel could have sloshed away from the pump causing the stumble.

I had just a little over 1/8 of a tank

That was the problem. These cars don't like low fuel when accelerating or cornering. I never let it go below a 1/4 tank

Thanlks Agent 86... that does explain why it never stumble during my 1st or 2nd pass during time trials. I thought by keeping my fuel down below a 1/4 tank would help improve my times. I'll start out with 3/8 to 1/2 and see how that will do. Thank for the info.
