I leave it on. Unless like Mr Mojo stated, I want to show off. But I learned real fast, that it can get you in trouble really quick if ya don't pay attention.

I have gotten into much more trouble with it off than on.
and it's a great driving instructor in the rain. You see, I do leave it on, but it allows just enough tail out on a corner, that it becomes a race to see who catches it first, me, or the ASR. So yes, you can even have some fun playing with it.
And in the snow (which I don't have to deal with anymore) it's great!
Whew, I thought I was loosen it. I had no idea what you guys were talking about, then I looked it up. Mine is an 86, so I dont have ASR.
ASR: Acceleration Slip Regulation. Engine spark retard, throttle close down, and brake intervention limit wheel spin during acceleration. ASR was standard equipment starting with 1992 Corvette models.

It would seem to become more worthless, the more modified my engine becomes. Although I have no reason to turn it off during normal driving, it no longer seems to help much with inadvertant wheelspin, as my rear tire wear can attest to. At this point, if I knew how to eliminate it, I would. It'd be nice to have that now worthless POS out of my engine compartment.
If it wasn't for turning it off every time you start the car I would have it off at all times because I like to be in control of my car, not my car in control of me.
It is a nice feature for someone who is inexperienced and gets in to it alittle to much.
I always turn it off... It has nearly gotten me killed a couple times when turning into heavy traffic (which is often a problem around here)... absolute junk.
If I am running my street tires at the track I use it. ASR does a better job of getting me a decent launch then I can. Now with the ET Streets, I turn it off.

Leave it on, except for "special occasions".
'Course, I don't drive around lighting them up....so it doesn't make any difference if it's on or off, unless you hit a wet spot. Then, it's sorta' handy.
I can't imagine having that stupid thing on at all even in the rain. I can't stand it pushing on my foot, bogging, waiting for it to disengage, then finding the right gear again. God forbid it happens during skip shift then you're all messed up.
It's not for me, I can drive sensibly and I've driven the car enough to know when things will get out of hand and plan for it or intend for it to happen. IMO If you rely on the ASR you will never become "one" with your car.
