Does a TPI intake require special heads or will any SBC head work. I am asking this question because i want to make sure the bolt angles are the same from the intake to the heads as any carb'd engine. I have a feeling the inner two bolts are slightly more staight down and i need special heads but lets see what you say.

I believe the bolt angles on the F-body L98s changed during the late 80s but those on the Vette L98s remained constant and all the same angle.

I've had the base off my '88 Vette L98 several times and not noticed any difference in bolt angle between middle and end bolts.

So just check to be sure the heads you are interested in have the same bolt angles for the base bolts.

You do not need special heads. You have two options, get the intake manifold from the vette or just elongate the F-body intake holes to make them match up with the head.

The aftermarket intakes elongate the holes to make them work with either head.

the inner bolts are different angles...need to slot the holes and correct the bolt seat to match...the vette alum heads do not have exh ports in the center to feed the f-body egr valve

are you putting a vette intake on an f-bod or vice-versa ???
