On an 89 I used CAT 1.6 narrow, self aligning roller rockers. Required no mods to the valve covers. No problems so far.

Yes they manafacture a few different self aligning versions. These PN's would be what you need for your Corvette depending on which ratio you wanted.

PN 1035 3/8 stud narrow body 1.5 ratio
PN 1036 3/8 stud narrow body 1.6 ratio

They make a very nice prouduct.

I think i will go with p/n 1036.
Since i am looking into more mods later on, i am also looking at the
comp cams beehive springs.
Do i have to adjust the valve spring on 113 heads by shimming ?

You may need to grind the drip tabs on your valve covers and use thicker gaskets.

Whenever you install valve springs you may need to ge the desired installed height and so seat force.

I keep both in stock as a matter of fact... Another feature of the Scorpions over Cranes is the rocker body is shaped to eliminate valvespring retainer interference (just behind the roller tip). I've sold a bunch with ZERO problems..

If you're going to get these, dont screw around with the wimpy 1.5:1 or 1.6:1 rockers, go with the 1.7:1 models while you're at it.

I believe nathon plemons has a webpage developed for the swap. More lift is always better.

ROCK ON!
