Default 1994 LT1 Engine swap with 1996 LT1 Engine

Can anyone tell me if I will run into any problems with this engine swap?
I have a 1994 lt1 blown motor.(Spun Rod and broke # 7 piston into little pieces) I bought a Engine and Trans complete with all assories wiring and comp everything. It was on Ebay as a 1994 but it turns out the guy made a mistake in his add and it it a 1996 lt1 (I checked the s/n and he aggrees the car he was parting out was a 1996)

Now I have notice that the only thing that I see that looks differnt is there is some vacum 2 line running to the distributor from the driver side of the intake ( I found in my 1994 service manual that this is to help reduce moisture build up in the distributor and on the other side of the intake there is different vacum componets that are not on the 1994. Also on the 1994 the coil has 2 pulgs (4wires) that plug into it, on the 1996 there is only one plug that plug into the coil(2 wires). Can I just change out the coil and if I do will it work with the 1996 ignition.

I plan on using the original wiring harness.

Any advice?
Nothing is as easy as it seems!!!

You should be able to just use the original harness without any problems. The vacuum lines are a little different for the opti spark so you need to use the 95 air boot. Otherwise its a simple plug and play.

94 had Gen 1 Opti, right? IIRC the extension that runs from the opti to the wiring harness connector that is screwed to the pass. side of the intake has a connector that does not match the later setup. Pinout is the same, but the connector changed, and the ground shield was dropped on the later version of the extension harness.

A person I work with just did this. I just want to add that he did get the 96 PCM with the engine. This enabled him to start right up and get it pro tuned.
