Yes, the ABS module takes up all of the drivers side, but there is a shallow (~3") storage tray on the passenger side above the Bose module. Of course, if you're installing subs, that Bose module is no longer there, so you have a lot more space.

Duh I knew that.
The Bose module is that big? Geez. All that and a double-din stereo. I bet you'd almost break even on weight with a sub and amp replacing it.
I've been thinking about putting a carputer in that area. Anyone tried this?
it will be done in a few months (saving some cash).
I had one fully installed in my 03 Tiburon I had. I pulled it all out when I sold it and am saving them for the Vette.
I am changing from a PC to a modded Xbox running EvoX and XBMC.
I have one fully setup in my living room now, and will pickup a 2nd one for the car once I get the money and time to devote to the project. Its the perfect CarPC. You can store your entire MP3 collection, plus games, movies and lots of other stuff on a modded xbox. They are also cheap too. $80ish for a used one, $60 for a 120GB drive, and modding it is next to free ($13).
Instant boot times, instant turnoff, small in size and I can put up to a 120GB drive in it without much effort. It can do just about everything a PC can do for a car (minus navigation, but I have a PPC I use for that duty)
i have a 10" band pass box and a 400 watt amp , i hid the amp in the storage area and it overheated, had to put it in plain site.
amps usually fit neatly behind the seats out of site with plenty of room to breathe.
I have an amp and distro block behind the driver seat and a sat radio receiver behind the passenger seat. The amp behind the driver seat is my sub amp, and its never overheated, and I run that thing hard.
.... Although if you position the seat 100% all the way back then that may not work out for you. I have my forward just a tad, then leaned back almost all the way back, there is still plenty of room down lower behind the seat to mount amps.

In hindsight I would have bought a bit smaller amp and put it under the manual passenger seat. The bottom cushion is easy to remove if you need to make amp adjustments.

I have a very large amp under the pass seat. The controls face forward, so I can access them without removing anything. I used to have my amp behind the pass seat, but it took up 2 valuable inches for my long legged passengers.
I had an 8" sub in the storage compartment but it didn't sound very good. I ended up getting two 12"s and making a fiberglass box to fit the rear area. I'm not quite finished with it but I'm close.

Wow that looks great!
I love the Wendy's Cup Mod too!
I would love to learn how to fiberglass stuff like that!
The storage compartment fiberglass is really thin.
If you make a box, it's a very bizarre shape. I made one with 3/4" mdf that fills out the front part of the compartment too where it goes behind the seat. You sort of have to drop it in and rotate it into place to use that space. Sorry I don't have pics of the completed box before I installed it. Forum member deiaggie was making boxes awhile back, not sure if he still has any.
