Valve spring upgrade - 1.6 RR
Although not indicated as mandatory it has been said it is a good idea to change the valve springs --
What would be a good upgrade so if I put a cam in I would not have to change them again??
Also- is there a special tool required to remove the retainer on the spring??
Thanks

Other springs might be five times the cost or more.

Either of these will go to .650 lift.

Also PEP, SI and Pioneer make similar 1.250 springs, what you should buy depends on your future cam plans.
Yes, you need a special valve spring compressor and a small magnet (for the keepers) to change out the valve springs on the car.

Decide on what cam you will likely/probably go with and chose the spring to match. Also you may want to decide on which RR ratio to get to match up with the cam.
Also do a nice set of RRs, say the ProMagnums.
