Default HELP! I made a stupid mistake.

I was cleaning up the valley and I pulled the first couple of lifters out and now I do not know which dircetion the oil hole is supposed to be in. So if anyone can help me that would be great! I need a FSM but, do not have the extra $50-$100 to buy one right now.

Here is a pic and if someone can moddify the pic so it has the arrows of which way they should be pointing that would be very helpful. Oh, the car is an 89' L98.

Thanks!

The oil hole does not care. Just drop it in and move on.

Pull another that you have not pulled yet, and not which way that one is facing. It probably does not matter though.

Your lifter will spin as it goes up and down. The relief cast into side of lifter allows oil to find it's way no matter where the oil holes are.

I guess it would help if I read it all.

He doesn't. You can tell by looking at the photo. '89 was a roller block.

Thank you guys for the replies. I guess it wasn't as bad of a mistake as I fist thought. Now, how much of a problem do you guys think it would be if the rollers are now going the opposite direction on the cam? I am going to be painting the miniram tonight and Wednesday then putting it on on Thursday.

It is a wonderful feeling when a project starts comming together isn't it!
