Timing chain problem: HELP!!!!!

Supposedly the 1145 is the "LESSER QUALITY" compared to the 3145. The 3145 has the "better chain".
I already ordered that, and it was wrong, so I got the 1145, which I'm sure will be just fine.
The Cloyes did ask if I had the plastic or metal timing cover. It won't fit under the plastic one. I have never seen a plastic one.
