It's probably not quite as low as it looks in that pic, once you see it sitting on level ground you'll see the car still has a slight rake to it. What makes it look even lower though is because that's a pretty tall tire, 345/30/18, so the tire fills up the well. Eventually I'm going to put some coilovers up front so I can pull it down just a little up there to really get the rake I want. We can't go much higher with the rear.

I'll probably get some more of those up later but did you see page 10? There are quite a few pics there of the dash/gauges. I'll get some more interior stuff up before long probably.

In that pic you can see the mufflers, which had to be shortened, you don't see the tips in that pic but they now both come out right below the differential. It's really clean that way
That is one sweet project. This thread is saved in my favorites now. I am not only going to keep a watch on your project, but plan on taking some of the references for my own. I am working on a 90 C-4 and plan on a full 12 point cage, solid axle rear, and redoing the entire interior some too. My project is getting a twin turbo, intercooled, meth injected, with NOS engine. Not sure on the trans yet, (But we know the 700R4 is not going too be in there). The goals for my project are pretty lofty.
1. I want a sub 10 second car here in Utah
2. I want to see over 1000 HP on the dyno with it set of Kill
3. I want it to pass Smog here
4. I want it to be streetable.
Keep in mind that I will be able to remove the NOS (300 Shot) and turn down the boost hence the streetable. And I work and live about 10 minutes apart, and driving it to work or on a cruise is the idea of streetable. Very lofty goals and I might not make most of them, but one way our another it is going to be a fun build. Hope mine turns out close to as nice as yours is.
Basically I started rewiring the entire car but just tore my knee up so that put a damper on that for a bit. Hopefully by this fall it will be 100% done, interior, stereo, wiring, everything.
Looks like your project worked out great. How is the ride with the straight axle in the back? I didn't real all the previous pages. Do you have a spool or a posi? I'm surprised with the coilovers you can't raise the back more just in case you wanted to put a larger slick back there. Good job! Willie

Right now it rides horribly. But that's due to the shocks, need to adjust them.
It's a Detroit Locker, I didn't want a spool as this car will spend a great deal of time on the street (though no rain).
I can definitely raise the rear end no problem, but I want it as low as possible so that's why it sits so low in the back right now. Eventually I will put some big slicks out back.
Right now the front end is kind of high because I need coilovers up front to get the stance where I want it.

I've got double adjustable coilover Varishocks in my back. They have a 16 click adjustment range. I have the compression at 12 and rebound at 5. Works fine for the track. No street driving though.

Dude those are some nice gauges . Its really going to set the inside of your car off, nice choice.
An what is that blue bottle sitting beside the car Does somebody have something up there sleeve So how does it sound with the muffler's cut? Nice work man, I can't wait to see it

Yea, I think you're just dragging this out to keep us in suspense.
