Just picked up my 3rd Corvette, a 1986 Coupe (previous ones I have owned were a 93 Coupe and a 01 Z06). Price on this one was VERY right... $3,800. Interior is crap (Bright Blue interior is 
Besides, it is very tired!), the car is 100% factory...but I bought this Vette for 2 reasons:
1. I miss drag racing with my Corvette buddies! (Drag racing my 07 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T just isn't the same)
2. I want to have a Vette that I can race and show!
The previous owner asked me straight up what my plans were for the car, when I was looking at it. I told him it was not going to be stock once I was done with it. I thought he might not sell it to me at that point, as he had kept it all factory (except for the radio). His comment: "Well, its not my cup of tea, but when you are done, I'd love to see it."
A Corvette is a beautiful canvas for each owner to create their vision with. Some, like the canvas blank...some like the canvas a little wild...and of course, you have the few individuals that like on their canvas.
