Default Outer Door seals

Just go my car back from paint and have completed all the new seals except the outer door seals. The kit I got did not come with the pop rivets, anyone know the correct size rivets for this? I would have just tried to go to the hardware store but the paint guy forgot to give me back my window controls so since I have to wait just wanted to see if anyone knew the proper size before I go. BTW the car looks amazing.

Thanks in advance

Don't use pop rivets; use machine screws instead. This will allow you to remove or replace the seals with ease. Also, you will notice that there are no rivets or screws in the center of the door; only two on one end and one on the other end. This causes the center part of the seal to come off of the edge and pop up. You can remedy this by putting a very small bead of weatherstripping cement along the center of the seal before you apply it to the door edge. Use duck tape to fasten the seal in place while the cement dries. Don't worry if you get a little cement on your new paint as it can easily be removed with 3M Adhesive remover without harming the paint. This is all best done prior to reinstalling your interior door panels.

I used screws with my install. The correct rivet size is 3/16".

Yes 3/16, and I like pop rivets.

Not much reason to remove these, once installed. If you do screws, use short ones. Too long will poke through the door

LOL and if you are not careful when drilling out the old pop rivets you can also drill a hole in the door, don't ask how I know I just do
