Early Bose Wiring Question
Does anyone know what the black wire on the back of the early bose radio connects to or if it was even connected to anything? I recently had to remove my radio and I'm pretty sure it wasn't connected to anything. I've enclosed a link so you'll see the wire in question. In mine in did not connect to anything. IRC that wire is used if you have the electronic climate control system in your vette. I think it powers either the back light when lights are on or the memory for the electronic temp system.

1985 was the last year you could order a factory CB radio for your vette....maybe the plug/wire was for that!

Thanks Fellas..
I thought about the CB thing. There's no power to the wire with the ignition on so I'm not sure about the electronic temp control. Someone told me it's a Bose Amplifier Integrator wire. Don't think that's it either as the radio works fine and I think the amplifier is powered by wires in the speaker harness. It's just bugging the crap out of me that I can't remember if it was connected to anything when I removed the radio a couple of weeks ago. I have a shop manual and it shows every wire but the one in question. Oh Well! Thanks again guys!
