Default Buddys corvette ..help!

My friends corvette is a 1990 regular (with removable top )
anyways its got several problems to say the least...
if you can answer help me resolve any of these issues it would be greatly appreciated

1. the whole engine compartment is extremely hot!! (i know cars are suppose to run hot...but i dont think this engine is getting cooled period)
could it be cooling fluid needs to be replaced? radiator fluid?

2. brakes stop working after about an hours use.....(could it have to do with car over heating?) another thing i realized is that the pump is not sealed off completly i mean water could fall in (its kind of like a balloon with a stick in it but theirs no seal..if i were to clean the engine...water would def fall into the pump...is that normal?

3. air intake is cracked...could i seal with apoxy or silicone?
i cant find replacement anywhere (ecklers only has inlet tube)
i need the triangular piece of plastic that leads to airbox

4. their is some kind of small motor or pump that makes this loud noise when i accelerate/brake located right behind drivers side seat
anyone know why its sooo loud!! or what it is?

5. where can i find pumps for rear window(mine are rusted)....that window doesn't stay open....and the lock also seems to have some difficulty locking

6. thank you for reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any help greatly appreciated!!!

These cars tend to run hot, supposedly to reduce emissions. Use a flashlight and look into the small port cut into the passenger side of the radiator housing. The front of the radiator may be full of junk. Clean this area out if it's dirty. It won't cool down the engine compartment much, but it will help the engine last longer.

I'm not sure from your desacription on the "pump". Can you post pictures?

You can probably find a replacement on auction sites, but epoxy will work also.

Your ABS pump is located in the compartment behind the drivers seat. It should only activate briefly for a self test at 4 mph. If it's running all the time, this may explain why you have no brakes. Wheel sensors or the pump itself may be bad.

5. where can i find pumps for rear window(mine are rusted)....that window doesn't stay open....and the lock also seems to have some difficulty locking

Replacement cylinders are avaiable at auto parts stores.

6. thank you for reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any help greatly appreciated!!!

Hope this helps

You'd better edit/delete your post to ONE problem. It is already difficult with many people addressing ONE problem, much less SEVERAL problems. Trust me - NONE will get solved.

The first problem is heat. What does the temp gauge say?

I can only help you with No. 5, if you look at some of the adds on the left you will be able to find the back window posts. Good luck with the rest.
