427 update
Just mock it up first - be sure the dipstick accesses the hole. Mine did not - I enlarged the area and my stock dipstick works fine.
PS- I did not like the gold color, looked a little bit ricer, I mean tuner
so I sanded the pan and painted it black to go with my motor.

The manufacturer did mention a problem with the dipstick hitting the rotating assembly, so that's why he reccomended taking one of theirs. IDK, for the money I'm spending at this piont, a dipstick isn't going to break me. Without seeing it, it's hard to say.
