When I have the MAF plugged in and start to rev the motor up with no load (in park) the bottom end starts off ok but mid throttle it sounds like the motor plains out and is just sucking air and boggs down. Now when I unplug the mass air flow, the motor with no load, gets past that bogging down stage and revs up better but not the best. Will a new mass air flow sensor fix this or can more be wrong?
85 has a burn off module....it is expensive.
Take a look inside the MAF through the screens and check to see the filiment is still intact. If so clean the MAF's connector/socket and reinstall it.
How expensive are we talkin for the burn off ad where is it located exactly. The filiment is in tact and I have cleaned it with the spray many times. How do I change the burn off?

It is in behind the dash cluster. The CF member you just bought the MAF from in the F/S section may have an extra burn off module if you think yours is bad...ask him for the details/insights.
Codes lol 12 14 23 25 33 35 55. On the road if you drive it without getting into the throttle it is ok until it hits higher rpms but the MAF isnt hooked up. I purchased a new burn of module and MAF from a guy on here and I am going to see if this will fix the problem. When I got these codes I did not have the IAC hooked up and have not checked for codes after I hooked it up. I had to buy that harness. I also dont have the knock sensor hooked up either. Do I need it hooked up r can I run without it?
