What year? The later C4 is vented, if your's is older model do this upgrade. You can get a A/C Delco repair kit with new rotor, etc.
Unless Accel has improved their part pass on it, I have had my LT4 96 for 10 years and have read a lot of Bad posts about Accel opti-spark.
MSD is really expensive, buy a vent kit from Mid America or Ecklers, same for repair kit.

There are plenty of posts about MSD problems as well. Most are probably installation error related.
Many of the OEM optisparks have lasted for well over a decade now. A new vented AC Delco / GM version will probably last just as long.

Unless there's a noticeable improvement in performance, I'd think OEM. They're proven ultra-reliable, and geez, if someone noticed the MSD in there, they might think you drive the snot outta your car. Wouldn't want that...

very nice !! I like the K&N RAM air custom setup work. Pretty ingenious!! I am a bit confused as to what you have done to the rear "trunk" area. Some pics look like stock '64, while others show a raised cutout ??? Fuel cell stuff ??
...and someone has done outstanding paintwork !!

Was this a real Tanker GS or clone? The three pictures of the seat frames are cool. Great work.

First off, thats a really nice project you have going on there. Second, Summit Racing has a nice distributor too, last year it was $250. I installed it in my stock motor, and its been great.
