89 vette. Getting code 33, My scanner says. MAF to high. Yesterday, I put a new serpentine belt on and had my maf off. After I started it yesterday, here comes check engine light. Unplugged batt. Restarted. all good. On my way home from work today, here comes the CEL. Any suggestions?

Your car is telling you that the voltage is too high on the hot wire filiment in relation to the amount air flow through the unit. Clean or change the air filter(if running an oil charged filter do not over oil the filter) and clean the MAF's filiment with MAF cleaner. Remove any debris stuck to the screen on the front of the MAF's air flow intake side.
I cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner last night. Drove to work and back today, all good. Checked all my connections.
I have owned this vette for 20 years. Seems like I have MAF issues about every two years. My car has 200,000 + miles. Still have the origanal TPS, IAC, and EGR.
