Like the others said, you're going to have to whack it with a hammer using a brass drift or piece of wood. You have to be patient, it will come off and alot easier the next time. I usually put the arrow at 12:00 and put it back the same way. I doubt it makes a difference, but why not put it on like it came off?
If you are going to remove the hub, you ARE going to need a puller for that. It is not a conventional puller and I would refrain from using a hammer on it.
