I am either going to use a pair of Garrett GT25R's or Garrett GT3788R's. I plan on intercooling them and running a Stage 3 Snow System from Snow Performance. I plan on keeping the boost low for street driving (Low read none at all, or very very little boost) but once I get it to the strip I plan on working my way up to see what our track can hold. The 4-Link, and a set of Wide Slicks should help there, and if it can take all that I am comftorable turning the boost up, then I can always as some spray, as the car is also going to be plumbed for it, however I doubt it will ever see the NOS.
Sounds like a good winter project BTW its summer time.... I always thought a turbo c4 would be cool, good luck to you
This project started at the end of the season last winter, but it is going to take me over a year to build this. I save until I can aford parts, and then I go on a buying spree. Then I do work, do install of parts, or what ever, and then I save some more for the next round.... I wish I could have done it all over the winter, but to take a fairly stock vette and do what I am doing is something that will take some time.
Thats not all that will be trimmed, I think you will be triming some of us out here at RMR. Killer project
I doubt I will be triming any of you out at RMR... More Likely I will be adding some more of us out there, and then of course there will be the Feeding too. The first of many BBQ's Planing is in the works!
Normal Street Driving I plan on keeping the boost below 5 pounds. On the track I am going to start at 15 pounds and work my way up. The turbos will be sized for max of 25 pounds, but the goal is to keep it 15 to 20 pounds and be in the sweet spot.
i must say, this is going to be one sick build. if you run the Garrett GT3788R's, i can see easily 850 - 900 chp out of it... running at 25lbs of boost, you may break 1000 chp. good luck! keep posting along the way!
I know Jim pretty well. He is a great guy. Been talking with him quite a bit this last year as I planned this thing.
Well thanks! Looks like you are making progress. These are huge projects and end up taking way more time than you would think. Good luck with the build, and if there is anything I can help you with, let me know.
this is f'in outrageous.. i would pay to ride in this thing.
Rides can be arranged once it is completed, as it is going to be a Street car and will go on Many a crusie I am sure. If you are ever coming out to Utah let me know, and once complete, I will setup a crusie with a bunch of people and we can take it out for a Cruise and breakfast or something.
