Default What intake setup for a ZZ4???

The ZZ4 longblock is suppose to have 355 hp with a carb, but what fuel injection intake setup will keep it the closest to that hp??. I know it depends on if you want to keep low end torque or have better top end power but just wanted to know which ones will flow enough air to feed this motor, I know stock (even ported) won't do it.What will I need for injectors or will my stock Bosch injectors work and will my stock TB flow enough air??I know some of you have ZZ4 motors so you guys would know better then anyone..Im getting close to the purchase of my ZZ4 longblock so I need to start making decisions on a few things........Thanks ...WW

probably the big mouth base, and large runners. everything ported, IIRC the zz4 cam is pretty close to the stock cam .

You should seriously consider the First Intake.

Mini ram to get to the HP numbers. I have a zz4 long block in my car with full length headers, ported edelbrock base, ported SLP runners and ported penium. Toped off with a 52mm TB and tune and the car is super fun to drive. Much better than the stock engine for sure. HP probally isn't close to the 355 but torque it produces is outstanding

If you are going to go with the TPI look I think that the FIRST can't be beat, especially if you port it.

I'm running a very similar setup minus the full length headers but ported did a DYI porting on the stock 113 heads and exaust manifolds. I'm very pleased with my results.

Mini is the only way to go on a ZZ4. I went from an Edelbrock base/ASM runners to a Mini and picked up .3 in the 1/4 mile.

if running a MR then a better cam would be justified with more intake. The ZZ4 cam is optimised for a dual plane intake with runners much longer than a MR.
