Fuel pump
Hey guys hows things in the vette world?
Need a little help. Going to replace my fuel pump in my 1984 vette. Original crossfire injection. I know some of you love those CFI's.
Well anyway, I know the pump is in the back where the gas filler is so I took it apart to check it out. I got it apart except for the part where you pump in the fuel. Is this pressed on?
It does not come out. I need to get that out to get to pump. Anyone here have any ideas on this? I cant figure out how to get that out and dont want to do any damage to it.
Any help would be great. Thxs alot

Wish I could help...on my 96', there was a rectangular plate with 8 or 9 bolts to access the tank. I did my fuel pump several months ago. Good luck....someone should jump in with an answer for you.

Are you talking about the rubber filler neck piece ??
If so, your going to have to wrestle it out. Pull in the corners and wiggle and pull.
After it's out, you will have access to the bolts around the flange.
