Has any one ever done this conversion. I have seen the finished product but i was curious if any one has actually DONE it. if so some how to would be cool.
and for the record i am not a fan of the breathless conversion.. let alone the price of a grand price tag on them
Looks great and I love the functionality aspect - ie, eliminate the pop-ups - but from the photo, it looks like the hood & bumber were reworked. If true, that's a lot of work.
That is a beautiful looking car though. The whole set up looks perfect, very cool.
Would love to learn what it took to do the headlight conversion.
the front bumper is not reworked (don't think so).
the fiat headlights are just shorter in length than the stock c4 units and the fabricator used the top edge of the headlight opening to mount these against. It makes the front portion of the car look slightly longer. But there is definitely fiberglass work involved in filling in around these heads lights once in place.
I don't even know if the end result would mean weight reduction, or by a large margin. This would require making a mounting bracket and than glassing in the remaining opening. So all the brackets and glass might even out the potential weight that would be saved.
I tend to like fixed head-lights, but at this point I think it's a big part of the c4. None the less, if Breathless would sell their kit for a THIRD of their asking price I "might" consider purchasing it. Otherwise, their asking price is a joke (IMO).
next question. where the hell to find these things?
they only sell these cars in eourpe I found a forum and i am trying to buy a pair so far all my shipping estimates are over a hundred dollars! not bad if i can make these work

Agreed, the bumber was not touched.
The car looks slightly lowered and like it has side skirts but not quarter panel skirts.

How would you evaluate, ie, what do you make of the way the hood panel surrounding the Fiat lights "look" flat black.
Is that a photo illusion or intended by the fabricator?
