ac heater unit
I just bought a 89 and fixed the engine and now to the other stuff. The heater unit is doing some funky stuff. Once in awhile it is fine and then all the light light up the temp indicator flashes all wierd. Is this the unit itself or could it be something simple

I also have a flashing security light also. I just saw another furom that kinda said they could be linked any thoughts? also for 89 did they they have a remote for unlocking? and one more thing how do you remove the targs top with a torx tip?

No "factory" remote entry for '89.
use the torx bit....."lefty loosey righty tighty". Here's what I do:Targa removal:
Slightly loosen all 4 bolts that hold the targa. Back out the "rear" torx bolts until they spin "free" then do the same for the "fronts". Remove the top.
Targa install:
Set the top in place. Start both the rear bolts then tighten both until the are about 1 full turn from tight. Start both bolts then tighten the front bolts until they tight. Go back and finish tightening the rear hardware.
