I went to look at the firewall relays that another post commented on. I checked the first and it seems fine. The one closer to the firewall, the relay is there and fine, however there is not connector for it that I can find. What does that one go to? I am not getting power to my fuel pump and that would explain why if that is the pump relay. Thanks.
Year and trans always helps when asking questions
If two relays fitted, one is for the O/d
Did you try running 12V direct to the pump as outlined in the other thread to check the pump itself?
Have you checked pump fuse?
Is this a recent occurance as in did pump suddenly stop working?

The rear one was fuel, from factory. Dig down and look some more, that harness can't be too far away.
The car is an 84 with 4+3; The pump has not run since I got it. It does when I plug in 12V to it direct. The fuse for it is good. I am thinking that the harness missing is the cause of this. I will have to look further. The car will not run when I try to turn it on with 12V directly to the pump, I know fuel is getting to the injectors because I cracked a fitting there. I have already taken injectors out and inspected and replaced gaskets. I also know power is going to the probes on the injectors because I left one off to start it when I dumped fuel into the motor and it shot a lighting bolt across the engine. (oops) Is there a way to test the injector spray with the car off and just supplying power to them?

One side of the injector plug is live all the time when the key on .
You need a " noid " light to see if the injectors are being pulsed by the computer when cranking; the injector circuit goes to ground at the computer ,turning the injectors off and on

I just hotwired in a better ground. I am convinced, that if I can find it that I will find that they whole car has horrible grounds or broken wires from the previous owner.
Now it starts and injectors that sat for a year fan the spray great, however the car bangs and clanks...any thoughts?

The ECM must pulsate your TB's via sending a ground pulse, just like TPI. That being said, if you supply a constant ground to injectors, they will be sparying non stop, until you turn off the key !!

So you guess that the excess fuel is causing the noise?
I guess the ECM is the next place to look.
