It won't hurt [ maybe], they will look cool, but don't expect a big bang for the buck.

That's a lot of volume for a modest motor. You have to fill those pipes, and four big old tubes require a lot of filling before they work any pluses for you.

Though at 7,000 rpm things might pick up!

Here's the deal:
I'm not going to buy something that will eventually hold me back. Why do it twice when you can do it right the first time?

Default Couple things to think about

The problem I have is some manufactures make early C4 header and sell it for all C4. They have round primaries for the L98 motor and claim they work on the LT-1's. I read somewhere they may not fit properly. The true LT-1 headers have rectangular primaries. As long as they cover the head opening they may be Ok but there are still different tubes out there. Just food for thought.
I also found out when I by mine I will purchase from Jet Hot. They can get about any header at just as good of a price as Summitt or JEGS and you will be getting a header that is coated inside and outside. This is a big selling point for me and when the price is the same with who knows what coating only on the outside then why not buy from JET HOT direct? Just another fact a came across in my search for the perfect header

I see that the TPiS headers have round primaries :/

Anyone running these with a 92-95?

Quick question:
I was on TPiS' site a few moments ago and noticed that when I searched parts under my '94 vette, headers didn't come up. When I modified the search to a '91 vette, they did. Will the TPiS longtubes fit LTx motors?

LT1's only have AIR right? If so, I might shoot them a call about they're 92-95 smooth flow headers with the AIR ports

Yeah, I just saw your thread about the "melrose" headers...sorry to hear that dude

This header business is enough to drive me insane! lol

I'm trying to figure out if the TPiS will fit an LTx, now debating EM's, and Melrose have also come into play.

Man,,,there's SOOOO much you can find on headers with the search function....

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...t-headers.html

There's another recent thread on Exotic Muscle (EM) headers and Merle's potential financial issues. Both are really good products that people don't complain about. EM's are probably the best value for the money but you might have to wait longer to get a set.

SW and Melrose are even better but cost more (than $750). Hookers are over-priced for a street car IMO. But, they are fine if you want a tuned header for the track.
