Can't the suspension/solid rear be dialed-in to avoid the "wheelies"? Seems to me if you can get that under control you'll easily be in the nines.
Jesse's already answered a yes, but with the 4 link you can adjust the "instant center" (i.e. the theoretical point the rear suspension is rotating around) and this will dramatically affect takeoff. I am hoping to have mine at the track in the next month or so (with my solid rear). Won't be running the times Jesse is yet but can't wait!
Can you imagine that vette at a stoplight and some dork in a ricer pulls up next to you and revs his car up for a little race? You take off on a wheelie and the guy in the ricer just pulls over to clean the sh*t off of his seat! Would be classic!

I can picture this too well! Imagine the look on the ricers face! hahaha

It would be near impossible to do a wheelie on the street without a burnout and a prepped surface. Good thought though.

everytime you pull up to a stop light, about 100 feet before the light just cook the **** out of the drag radials to warm em up. Probably scare the **** out of a ricer anyways lol.
