Default 84 injectors

I bought an 84 last year, has 53,000 miles

Wanting to smooth it out some and improve performance. Saw the intake had a water leak which I used stop leak to plug. On the assumption there could also be a monor air leak I plan to change the intake gasket

While I do this work I will replace all the vacuum lines, replace plugs, rotor, cap and wires.

I thought I would replace the injector nozzles too and was surprised at how expensive they are. Can you advise where these can be obtained at the best price?

Other suggestions and ideas are welcome! Thanks!

May be you're not aware how good service and products FICinjectors has, they are both excellent. I replaced my 93 injectors with their bosch 3s recently and am very happy, I'd use them absolutely, just my 2cents.

there are many aftermarket injectors for sale at all prices. The OEM TBI is specific only to the crossfire. There is a front and rear injector. The aftermarkets like SMP list 1 number for both. IMO the RP oem injector is unmatched. Plus, RP has not made that injector since 98 so any you find are NOS that have been laying around for years,. Up to you but servicing those OEM's is the best way to go.

If memory serves me correct the CFI uses a 67 and 65 lb injector.

Other injectors do fit. After I had done some mods I was using injectors for a 92 pickup 454, they were 90lb injectors. Later model trucks use TBI (87-9?) The injectors from those do fit.

But I think Jon is right, send them in and he'll take care of those. They will probably be better than new when you get them back.

Go with Jon, at that price and with his record here you will not be disappointed.
