On a stock engine headers aren't worth alot. But the more power you make the more they will help you. So they may be worth more down the road if you do more mods.
In your pic of the exhaust pipes it appears you have new motor mounts. Did you get new mounts or re wrap the old ones? If you just re wrapped where did you get that material? Thanks

BTW pipes look good
Actually the motor mounts and wraps are stock. I did however, wipe them down with a rag when I had the old manifolds off.
What next? Enjoy the ride, take it to Byron this fall [cool air].Summer time mods should be quick and easy for us northern boys. Injectors and 02 sencors cut 2 tenths off my times. Are those original plug wires? BTW I sent you an email on a cost saving tip.
Headers $360
Gaskets $22
EGR/AIR delete plates $15
Exhaust parts and labor $275
Grand total $672
The real question is. Was it worth it? And the answer is maybe. That is because I felt hardly any SOTP difference. This is mainly because I didn't tune for the lack of air/egr plumbing. However, the throaty rumble when you open it up makes it all worth while.
Roger from your pix you have the 6spd so that means your gears are the 3.45, from what I hear that's a pretty good all around combo. I don't see any o2 sensors, where are they mounted? How did you get along with out the AIR and EGR? Any codes thrown now? If I were you and wanted more hp I would do the cam, hot cam or even better one from Elliot Port Works. Mike Weaver in the post above went with one of his cams, stock heads, roller rockers and ended up with 340 rwhp and a 1/4mile time of 12.5 really good times for stock heads.
Also removing the cats changes the demand for fuel in the computer so a tune would help you too.

I 100% agree the 3.45 rear end being a good all around set up. As for the o2 sensors they are still attached. However, you really cant make them out because they are mounted to the top sides of the collectors. As for the air/egr. So far I have not recieved any codes.
The difference between 4.09 gears and the 3.45 gears is hardly noticeable on the freeway. And you'll probably get better mileage because you'll be able to pull it into 6th at 55 MPH.
2200 RPM's is about what you'll see at 70 MPH with the 4.09's.
However, my vote is for nitrous. Nothing comes close for SOTP per dollar. You could do heads, cam, gear, tune, and several other bolt on's and still make less power than a stocker with a bottle.
