You have too much patience with this build. It would be killing me.
You should consider using a punch on the front & rear of the block and on the intake to dimple it. This will give the right stuff something to grab instead of a smooth surface. You know I hate oil leaks.

OK, I've seen this a couple of times. My intake on the 92 has been off 3 times so far, each time I put it back on with permatex black rtv (came with the gasket set). I haven't done the "dimpling" and have never had an oil leak. Why does everyone think it needs dimpling to seal?

I've found that the dimples can help hold the bead of RTV from moving. I had one intake job where the bead shifted back just a little. There was a leak by the dizzy. I was able to take the dizzy out and swipe new RTV into the gap through the dizzy hole.
