I think I read it in one of Lingenfelter's books. He said that if you have to choose between a good set of heads or some hot cam, pick the heads.
I have used Trick Flow when they came out with their twisted wedge heads. A couple weeks after I got it installed, they said their guideplates had some defects in it. I had to have their new ones installed. OK. A couple years later, I found a broken spring. (I did buy their HD spring kit). Decided to take the head off and found that the valve had hit the piston and broken it and scored the bore. R&R time. Had the heads checked and found that the side with the broken spring had loose valves. All of them wobbled in the head. The other side was fine.
I had the heads repaired and sold. Bought AFR 190s instead. Should have gone bigger then but oh well. Anyways, I wouldn't trust anything from Trick Flow on my car. If I had to use their heads, I would get a bare head and put my own stuff on it.
