Default Brake Light

I am getting a brake light along with a Service ASR and ABS lights on my 92. This started after getting stuck in the wonderful Atlanta traffic. I recently sold my C-3 and started driving the C-4 more. The rear rotors and calipers were replaced four months ago and I have checked all connections and fluid level. Am I missing something obvious. Any suggestions!
Thanks in advance.

The first simplest thing is to check and make sure the master cylinder is full all the way up to the line.

Other causes get more serious. Sometimes a speed sensor at one of the wheels can become not functional either the sensor itself failed or it could have become unplugged. Since you had your brakes worked on I would check the plugs and connections.

Do you know how to pull the codes on your vette?

No I don't, I never had to pull any codes on this car. These are a little more involved than the 80 I just sold. Thanks!

OK, my 92 is starting to show the service ASR code when starting to go from a stoplight.
You really have to FILL the brake fluid just over the line.

To pull codes there is a procedure in the factory service manual to short a couple of pins on the ALDL connector and the codes appear on the spedometer.
If you don't have an FSM do a search - its been gone over lots of times. My FSM is in Atlanta, I'm stuck in Cedar Rapids/Coraville/Iowa City IA until Sunday

Here are some links to get you stated with pulling codes. Read it all and extract the information that relates to your car.

http://www.corvettephotographs.com/c4vettes/codes.htm

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...-retrieve.html

Suggest you get a FSM if you are serious about working on the car, as you know each year is specific.

There are 3 sets of codes.
One for the CCM which is modue1, the chasis.
Module 4 which is the ECM which is for the engine. The one everybody talks about.
And Module 9 which is the brake computer (ECTBM).
The FSM explaines them all. You can also find more info on the Forum by searching and using the internet also.

There is a bit more on codes but stick with the basics for now.
